In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. The foundation takes its name from the noble command — Al-Amr bi al-Ma'ruf, "enjoining what is right." It lives that name by raising a generation that memorizes the Qur'an, lives by its teachings, and gives back to the community.
The foundation runs intertwined programs — each one serving the mission of memorizing, living and spreading the Qur'an.
The Department of Qur'anic Memorization runs halaqat where students of all ages commit the Book of Allah to heart — with official graduation ceremonies honouring every batch.
Explore the program →Beyond the Qur'an, the foundation supports formal and informal education — equipping students with knowledge and skills for life, work and service to the Ummah.
Explore the program →Community development projects that strengthen families and neighbourhoods — from the foundation's centre in Kumasi to its first Nigeria cohort.

Meet our people →The foundation's graduation tradition began with its Maiden Qur'anic Memorization Graduation Ceremony at the Al Amru Bil-Ma'ruf Centre Premises — and continued with the 2nd Graduation on Saturday, 15 August 2026 at Kumasi Central Mosque, celebrating the second batch of Huffaz.
From Halqatul Iman to Al Amru Bil-Ma'ruf, graduate Kurratu Ayn Mohammed Barry balanced Tahfiz with school, work and household responsibilities — inspired by her mother's support and the rewards promised in the Hereafter.
"My dream is to become a role model who inspires young children to improve their Qur'an recitation and grow stronger in faith."Meet Our Students & Teachers
